Fall 2004-Spring 2006 Research Assistantship- Wake Forest University- Department of Physiology/Pharmacology, Human Performance Lab- Dr. Anthony Liguori, researcher.
§ Investigating behavioral and cognitive deficits associated with chronic marijuana use, and during the withdrawal of tobacco or marijuana.
§ Duties include: consenting and running participants, screening potential participants, literature searches, data entry, data analysis, and advertising
Summer 2002-Summer 2004 Research Assistant- University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill,
Department of Psychiatry, Stress and Health Research Lab- Dr. Kathleen Light and Dr. Karen Grewen, researchers.
§ Investigating the role of the hormone oxytocin on blood pressure in romantic couples and parents of infants.
§ Duties include: data entry, consenting of participants, literature searches, analyzing and editing blood pressure and heart waves, instrumentation of patients with cardiac output monitors and Accutracker blood pressure monitors, data checking.
§ Knowledge of Accu Win Pro which assesses blood pressure, COP Works which assesses cardiac output and heart waves.
